Im planning for my schools spring fashion show and I’m stuck on a theme. Last years theme was “safari”. & im presenting this to my teacher and the advance class.
I thought of “sping on the runway” What do you think about that?

I’m into fashion design and design my own clothes, but I’m not for sure what kind of route I should take with college and speciality schools as well as with getting my work shown once I work up a portfolio. How would I go about this? What are some things that I can start doing now that would be of great help later? Any other advice would be wonderful. Thanks!

I have been on the search for a good fashion magazine, with affordable options for women in their 30’s. Please don’t say Cosmo!

While I have many other interests in life (particularly literature, social sciences, and astrophysics), I live, breath and eat fashion.
Fashion is something I would consider being involved with for my whole life, but I don’t know where I should start.
In fashion, other than being a model or designer (adore that idea, but must learn to sew first), what are the different careers?

I am a self-proclaimed “fashion designer” with his own line of clothes to sell. My plan is to show the clothes at the local college, using their students who are studying modelling (gets them job experience and me advertisement). Then selling the clothes at local swap meets and mall events. Does anyone have any experience on this who could give me a little advice?
Also, if anyone has any other ideas as to how I could better market/sell my product, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I’m interested in fashion and eventually want to have my own line and open up my own boutique, but I don’t want to go to fashion school. My parents won’t pay for it and I want the traditional college experience.

Are there any GOOD (big emphasis on that because academically I’m doing pretty well) colleges/universities that have fashion majors and programs?

For these designers to be so fashion forward, they all come out w/the same seasonal trends. I heard that the editor of vogue looks at each designer’s collection in advance of fashion shows and decides which look is “in”.
